Happy this evening. Ist red heifer calf from the Frances cow family born today. I think red Frances are quite rare. Out of a 1st calving black heifer at 25 months.

💥 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙮 💥

The Northern Ireland Aberdeen Angus Club, by very kind permission of Ian Browne of the Clogher Valley Aberdeen Angus herd, are holding an open day on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 from 𝟐.𝟎𝟎𝐩𝐦.

The open day aims to highlight just how 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 the Aberdeen Angus breed is and what is 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 in a 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦, with a DAERA representative giving an insightful presentation on the 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 of grass-fed beef.

There will be a large number of pedigree 𝐫𝐞𝐝 and 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 Aberdeen Angus cattle on display that are commercially-ran, maximising the use of grass with reduced concentrates.

We have a good selection of young angus bulls out of the bull below, suitable for heifers and looking new homes. They are quiet, correct and good quality. Please pm me if looking more information.

Strule Eric has come back home to stay for a while to run with the ladies. Many thanks to Trevor Dunn for loaning him to us. Both his sire, Aughnamona Pullman and his Dam, Strule Edwina have left us some great Angus cattle.

The 1st of the class of 2022 out to grass. A mix of blacks, reds and herefords. They might not have a lot to eat but at least they have a nice view. Hopefully more to go out today.

New addition to the Herefords today. Corcreevy Jade and her lovely heifer calf. Sadly one of the last daughters of Kilmessan George , our previous stock bull. Many thanks to Niall Hudson for selling her.

Our senior stock bull, Clogher Valley Evolution R616, by Blelack Duke in his working clothes.He is producing lovely quiet, well shaped cattle and has just been awarded 1st prize stock bull in the Northern Ireland clubs annual herds competition. He is out of our 1st and favourite cow, Drumboy Corina, by Lawsonsford Bagatelle. She is still going strong at 14.
