Today Ferndown's crew again worked with Poole's Tech Rescue to save Pup Roxy, after she was spotted being washed down a flooded river in West Moors. Using an inflatable dinghy she was brought back to dry land and reunited with her owners.

Please do not attempt to drive through flood water, even if you think it’s not that deep.

Check your route before you travel. Your Local Authority website and the Highways should be able to confirm where some road closures are in place.

Last month Ferndown's fire engine and Poole's Tech Rescue attended an incident were a horse was unable to stand. Using a technique called a "roll over" were crews help the horse turn over and encouraged it to stand under its own strength.
