Final few days to Have Your Say on the Community Governance Review, which proposes changes to Watling Ward. This online consultation closes on Tuesday 2 June.

In Faversham, SBC is considering:

▪️ increasing the number of councillors representing Watling Ward and/or Priory Ward
▪️ splitting the existing Faversham Town Council’s (FTC) Watling Ward into two
▪️ extending FTC’s Watling Ward boundaries
▪️ transferring land from Faversham Town Council to Sheldwich Parish Council
▪️ transferring land from Ospringe Parish Council to Faversham Town Council
▪️ transferring land from Boughton under Blean and Selling Parish Council to Faversham Town Council
▪️ transferring land from Graveney-with-Goodnestone Parish Council to Faversham Town Council

PC Gary Morris, the beat officer for Watling ward would like to hear from the local community if anything makes you feel unsafe in the area.

Please join him on the Preston Avenue junction with Canterbury Road at 15:30hrs on Friday 15 May for a walk around the area and look at issues such as lighting, alleyways and issues that make you feel less safe in your community.

Tesco Express has submitted a planning application for advertising boards (some illuminated) on the Love Lane / Fernham Homes site.

The site map is a little confusing as they have put Windermere in the wrong place!

Our local Beat Officer will be holding a Walk and Talk event starting in Love at 15:30 on 27 February.

The walk will be around the local area and opportunity to discuss issues that make you feel unsafe eg street lighting that is not working or hedges that are overgrown causing footpaths to become inaccessible.
