🌳 Ever thought about becoming a Parish Councillor? 🌳

Parish councils might not make national headlines, but they make a real difference to everyday life in our villages.

Here in Boughton-under-Blean, parish councillors help to:

✅ Maintain community assets such as the village allotments
✅ Represent residents' views on planning applications and local developments
✅ Help shape the future of the parish through neighbourhood planning
✅ Campaign for improvements to local facilities, infrastructure and community spaces
✅ Work with borough and county councils to address local concerns
✅ Support projects that help keep our village a great place to live

Being a parish councillor is a chance to have a genuine say in decisions that affect your community, protect what makes the village special, and help deliver positive change for future generations.

You don't need political experience or endless time, just an interest in your local area, a willingness to listen, and a desire to make a difference.

If you'd like to discuss becoming a parish councillor further please contact the Clerk via phone or email.
