We're just a couple of weeks away from this year's Wainwright Prize winners being announced!

It's a time that Library Assistant Alys looks forward to every year as she's set herself the goal of reading every book longlisted for the prize since it was launched 12 years ago (she's only 14% of the way through so far!)

If you love nature, or reading about conservation and the environment, we invite you to explore our display of longlisted and shortlisted books from this year's prize. You can also grab yourself a bookmark and make a pledge for nature - share it on social media with to be in with the chance of winning some fabulous prizes.

We are loving receiving your entries to our musical art competition at Farnham Library and there's still time to join in!

The deadline for entries is Friday 4th September so if you're feeling inspired by a piece of music you've heard, your favourite song or artist or your favourite musical instrument make us a picture and enter our competition!

There is a prize for our favourite artwork and a chance to have your work exhibited in our newly refurbished library.

Calling all Chatter Books members!

Chatter Books will return on October the 10th!

Chatter Books reading group meets on second Saturday of the month from 11am until 12 noon.

The Chatter books reading group is suitable for ages 7 to 11 years. The book for each session can be obtained from the front desk when you sign up. For more details, please ask in the library or email us at [email protected]

Join us at Farnham Library for fun filled evening and a chance to dust off your skills! Enjoy laughs and fierce trivia battles set in our newly refurbished library!

Categories will include books, art, music, films, local history and many more brain teasers!

Tickets are £1 per person, and teams can have up to 6 members.

Get creative with those books teamed team names!

Please feel free to BYO cold snacks and soft drinks.

This is an ideal role for anyone who is enthusiastic and loves to sing for fun! We are looking for someone who knows how to sing nursery rhymes (ideally with accompanying actions) or someone who is keen to learn how to lead Rhyme Time sessions, as we can provide training and ongoing support!

Join our NEW Collage and Scrapbook Club at Farnham Library! ��✨

This club will run monthly, alternate Tuesday evenings and Saturdays. Book now to join! Take a look at the designs in this post that members made at the first club meeting!

The next session will be on Tuesday 25th August.

Enjoy meeting new people and crafting in a relaxed and mindful environment. Create a collage artwork or add to your journal with junk, scraps and stickers. Essential materials provided but please bring along extra book/magazine pages, stamps, photographs etc. that you would like to work with.
