๐Ÿ“ฃ As the weather warms up, it is tempting to get the BBQ out or build a camp fire but if you are out in one of our greenspaces, please donโ€™t! Especially if you are on one of our heathland sites.
โš ๏ธ BBQs are not allowed in any of Waverleyโ€™s parks and countryside sites. In hot weather, BBQs can easily spread into a wildfire and cause harm to our environment and wildlife.
Please be wildfire aware, by:
โœ… Disposing of litter in bins or taking litter home with you
โœ… Not lighting BBQs or bonfires in our greenspaces
โœ… Extinguishing ci******es fully
โœ… If you do spot a fire, call 999

๐Ÿ’š Mental Health Awareness Week | 11โ€“18 May
This week, weโ€™re proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week across Waverley and shine a light on the amazing work of some of our partners.
This yearโ€™s theme, Action, focuses on the practical steps we can all take to protect and improve mental health.
Good mental health is essential to our wellbeing, our relationships and our communities. As a council, weโ€™re committed to supporting residents by promoting understanding, reducing stigma, and helping people access the right information and support.
This week is about turning awareness into action - checking in with others, starting conversations, and making small changes that can make a real difference.
Because action on mental health matters. You can find details of support available on our website https://ow.ly/Meui50YXzU2
