We are delighted to announce that Akmal has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Fernhill Ward in the upcoming May 2027 elections.

Cllr Steve Harden, leader of the Conservative group at Rushmoor Borough Council said:

I’m delighted to support Akmal Gani as the Conservative candidate for Fernhill Ward.

Akmal and I have worked closely together over the past couple of years, and I’m proud of what we achieved for local residents, this has including securing a Speed Indicator Device specifically for Fernhill, increasing parking on Chapel Lane in partnership with The Fox Pub, and sorting a wide range of local issues through our Report It, Sort It approach.

We’ve also supported local businesses and community organisations, helping them to secure several grants.

I look forward to supporting Akmal in the upcoming election and hopefully returning him to the council

According to Zoopla "[p]roperty prices in Rushmoor fell slightly by 0.9% over the past year, cutting £3,100 from the price of the typical home, according to our August 2026 House Price Index".
