Thank you to Dave Horrocks for sharing these photos of two Tawny Owl chicks that have been showing along the boardwalk recently.

Rather than fledging Tawny Owls clamber out of their nest chamber to climb around the branches of nearby trees at around 4 to 5 weeks of age. They're still dependant on their parents for food until they are around 3 months old.

Great photos from Darryl Gorman of the Osprey we had fishing over the reserve this week.
Ospreys migrate back to the UK to breed after spending the winter in West Africa, a 4200km journey that can take 20 days! They don't currently breed at Titchfield Haven but we are hopeful that one day they will.
This osprey was being mobbed by a Lesser Black Backed Gull probably after the fish it had caught!
