Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful summer holiday, making the most of the beautiful weather and spending quality time with family and loved ones.

I am incredibly excited to be joining King Charles School as the new Headteacher and am very much looking forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks.

This week we have two INSET days on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September, during which staff will be in school completing important annual training and professional learning to ensure we are fully prepared for the year ahead. As a result, the school will be closed to pupils on these days.

All of our staff are looking forward to welcoming pupils back to school on Monday 7th September, smartly dressed in their uniform and ready for an exciting year of learning, growth and opportunity, where everyone shines. Please remember to bring a packed lunch or book a school meal in the usual way.

I look forward to working in partnership with you and your children and becoming part of the King Charles community.

London 2026 - Day 3

Harry Potter Studio Tour!
We all had an amazing time exploring the Harry Potter studios today.
Throughout this trip, the children have been the most wonderful company. They have been polite, responsible and lovely friends to each other. Not only have we noticed what super ambassadors for KC they are, members of the public have noticed too. KC children really do shine brightly where ever they go!

London 2026 - Part 2
After lunch yesterday, we enjoyed the Science Museum.
Before a delicious dinner at Pizza Express, we were joined by Jayne Kirkham for Truro and Falmouth who came to say hello and told us about her day debating in the House of Commons. Thank you, Jayne!
We all loved Wicked! On the way back to the hotel, we stopped outside Buckingham Palace for a quick photo.

Day 2 London 2026
We have seen some amazing sights and landmarks this morning. We loved the Shrek Adventure experience and enjoyed a picnic in a breezy, shady spot by the river!

London 2026
We have had a wonderful first day in London! We visited the Natural History Museum, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery. Between these stops we have seen some amazing sights: Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Horse Guards Parade … the list goes on!
Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
