🏊‍♂️ PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS WITH JOE 🏊‍♂️

We’re pleased to offer one-to-one private swimming lessons with Joe every Saturday & Sunday morning at Truro High School.

" I have a been a competitive swimmer for 11 years, qualifying for regional championships and competing for my university across the uk in all strokes. I have years of experience in 1-1 teaching, helping children progress through the stages quickly. Technique was always the most important aspect of swimming to me growing up and I believe it still is!"

Who are the lessons for?
These private sessions are suitable for children who can already swim at least 25m independently and are looking to improve their stroke technique and overall swimming ability.

👫 More than one child?
Private sessions can also be arranged for two or more children of a similar ability. These must be booked together by the parents - please get in touch for more info. .

💷 £28 per 1:1 private lesson

🏊‍♀️ FREESTYLE SWIM SCHOOL – PARENTS’ FAQs 🏊‍♂️
Here are the answers to a few of our frequently asked questions:

❓How much are lessons?
Our small group swimming lessons are £11 per 30-minute lesson including safe entries and exits.

❓How many children are in each class?
💦 A maximum of 4 children in our lower Stage classes
💦 A maximum of 6 children in our higher Stage classes

❓When can children start lessons?
In our small group independent lessons, children can join from the age of 3+ if over the height of 1 m and are lesson ready (trials are available to book to ensure suitability).
We also run adult and preschool lessons on a Saturday and Sunday morning at Penryn Primary.

❓Can parents watch?
Yes, parents are requested to stay on site and are allowed to sit on poolside to watch their child in their swimming lesson.

❓When do lessons run?
Our regular swimming lessons run during school term time.

❓Does my child need to wear a swimming hat?
Yes. Swimming hats must be worn by all children attending lessons, as this is a requirement of both pools.

Swimming hats can be purchased from:

🛒 Supermarkets
💻 Online retailers
Cloth swimming caps are also available and may be a more comfortable, sensory-friendly option for some children.

🏊‍♀️ ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS – SEPTEMBER 2026🏊‍♂️

Looking to improve your swimming?

7–8pm – Non-Swimmers & Beginners�-
Perfect for those who are unable to swim, lack confidence in the water, or are ready to take that first step towards learning to swim.

8–9pm – Improvers� -
Already able to swim? This session is for you! Perhaps you’d like to learn front crawl, improve your technique, build confidence, or simply become a stronger swimmer.

📍 Please note: These sessions take place in a smaller pool, so they’re not suitable for swimmers looking to train at a higher ability level.

💷 Six-week block: £90
You can join at the beginning of the block or during the block if spaces are available — although consistency is where the magic happens! ✨

🏊 OUR AUTUMN TERM IS NEARLY HERE!

We’re back in the pool on Monday 7th September and we’re excited to welcome our swimmers back to the pool.

📍 Penryn Primary Academy : Some spaces available (Stages 1-5)
📍 Truro High School: Lots of spaces available for swimmers of all ages and abilities (Stages 1-10)

💦 Whether your child is a complete beginner, building confidence or progressing their swimming skills, we have lessons to help them develop.

💦 Our lessons follow the Swim England Learn to Swim framework, helping us plan, teach and assess swimmers while also developing vital water safety skills.

💦 For our lowest stages, we offer small-group lessons with the teacher in the water, giving beginners the support they need to build confidence.
