It will be a calm and cooler day on Saturday with lots of sunshine for the UK. Low pressure moves in from the west to bring strengthening winds and heavy rain to northwestern areas in particular. Further south and east it will be a windy but warm and dry day.

Heard another heatwave is on the way?

Whilst a warmer spell will affect parts of the UK this weekend and temperatures will widely rise above average on Sunday, this heat spike will be brief. By Monday most places will be much cooler again📈📉

Friday will be a windy day in northern areas with wind gusts of 35-45 mph widely🌬️

Pennine regions will see strong westerly winds at times with isolated gusts reaching 55 mph. Cross winds will affect routes such as the A1 and may result in locally difficult driving conditions.
