We are one of 27 Squadrons and 2 Detached Flights located within Devon and Somerset Wing and operate out of Wyvern Barracks in Exeter. Both cadets and staff are keen to live by the Air Training Corps motto “Venture Adventure” and to uphold the three aims of the corps. Our Squadron motto is “We Help” which is reflected in our service to the local community. Cadets and Staff participate in a wide ra

In addition to community service our cadets also have the opportunity to participate in a vast array of activities from Duke of Edinburgh to Overseas camps and BTEC Qualifications to Flying and Gliding.

Cadets from 13 Squadron visited Exeter Airport today where they undertook a number of visits to various sections including Airside Ops, Dispatch, Air Traffic Control and the Fire & Rescue Service.

Whilst on our visit we were kindly invited aboard an awaiting TUI aircraft to meet the crew.

Visits to areas such as these were many of the general public will never see are just one of the many advantages of being a member of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

We’re excited to unveil phase one of our new immersive technology suite, bringing cutting-edge training straight to our cadets. From interactive simulations to digital learning tools, the Royal Air Force Air Cadets use technology to deliver a wide variety of training – including aviation knowledge, leadership, cyber skills, and teamwork all in an engaging, hands-on way.

This new setup allows cadets to learn by doing, building confidence and skills that are valuable both in the RAFAC and beyond.

It’s a fantastic example of how modern technology is helping us inspire the next generation while staying true to our core values of discipline, adventure, and service.

Last night, CWO Howell handed over the reins to Flight Sergeant Brooks on his final night as a cadet with The Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

CWO Howell has been an integral link between the Squadron Staff and the Cadet NCO team. We look forward to welcoming him back to the squadron on Thursday as a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer.

Cadet Warrant Officer Brooks takes over as the Squadron Cadet Warrant Officer following a successful promotion board. We wish him the very best of luck in his new role.
