🌿 Routine Open Space Management Works – September

Please be aware that routine maintenance works are taking place throughout the Country Park and our Open Spaces over the coming weeks.

Works have commenced this week and will continue on a rolling basis. These include:

🌳 Routine hedge cutting – maintenance of residential parcels owned and managed by Cranbrook Town Council.

💧 Tremlett Meadow Basin – planned vegetation clearance to support the long-term management and function of the basin.

🤸 Inner Westland / Outdoor Gym Basin – Clearance and maintenance of vegetation, including 1/3 of the surrounding trees and the inner channel of Rushes to ensure the basin is working effectively.

🦋 Supporting wildlife and biodiversity – careful, planned management of our open spaces helps maintain a healthy balance of habitats. Appropriate vegetation management can prevent areas from becoming overly dominated by a monoculture of species, promoting varying habitats and creating opportunities for a wider range of plants, insects, birds and other wildlife to thrive.

🚜 Please be aware of machinery in and around the Country Park while these works are being carried out. Operatives will be working in different locations over the coming weeks, so please take care around machinery and follow any temporary instructions or barriers in place.

These works form part of our routine open space management programme and are essential to maintaining the health, functionality and long-term condition of our green spaces and drainage infrastructure, while supporting the long-term ecological health and biodiversity of the Country Park.

We’ll continue to provide updates as the works progress.

For further information please email [email protected]

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential works are completed. 🌿
