Please stay safe in hot weather:
💦Stay cool and hydrated
😎 If you do go outside, cover up with suitable clothing, such as an appropriate hat and sunglasses, and seek shade and apply sunscreen regularly
❌ Avoid the sun between 11:00am–3:00pm
🌄If you are going to do a physical activity, plan to do these during times of the day when it is cooler, such as the morning or evening
👫Check on family, friends and neighbours who may be at higher risk of becoming unwell, and if you are at higher risk, ask them to do the same for you

🌡️🚄 South Western Railway – Timetable Changes Due To Extreme Heat

South Western Railway has issued temporary timetable changes this week due to the ongoing heatwave.

🚆 Key travel advice:
• Tuesday 23 June – Customers may use any alternative SWR service. Travel earlier in the day is recommended (before 12:00). Tickets can also be used on Friday 26 June.
• Wednesday 24 June – Travel only if necessary. Earlier travel before 12:00 is advised. Tickets valid on Friday 26 June.
• Thursday 25 June – Travel only if essential. Some services will be altered or not running. Tickets can also be used on Monday 22 or Friday 26 June.
• Friday 26 June – Services running as normal.

The Met Office has issued a rare Red Extreme Heat Warning for this week. Customers are advised to check before travelling on Tuesday and only travel if absolutely necessary on Wednesday and Thursday. Services may be subject to short-notice changes and cancellations.
