A Taste of Honey with Peter Smith
Thursday 5 June 2025, 6:30pm
Molesey Library, Walton Rd, Molesey, West Molesey KT8 2HZ
What is honey? And what makes a good honey? And why does honey vary from less than £1.00 a jar to hundreds of pounds? And how do we spot adulterated honey?
We look at - and taste - some of the many different types of honey.
Peter Smith is a beekeeper, all round bug enthusiast and writer. His talks are designed to entertain as well as inform and are aimed at everyone with an interest in the natural world and what we can do to help.
Tickets are £5 per person. Booking is essential via Eventbrite or at the Helpdesk at Molesey Library https://tinyurl.com/bp8kvyby

We are very pleased to be launching a Poetry Hub at Esher Library on Friday 25 April, from 2pm to 3pm. This is a free event, no booking necessary, all ages welcome - so come join us!

Surrey's Poet Laureate, Adam Gary; Leader of the Council, Tim Oliver; and the Mayor of Elmbridge will be in attendance.

The event will include tea and coffee and allow attendees to discuss the Poetry Hub, what it involves, and provide a discussion/chat for all who wish to know more.

The poetry hub sessions will run every first and third Friday of the month following the launch, offering interactive sessions, readings, and poetry writing, in a fun, relaxed, community-focused, encouraging environment.
