Mayor of Enfield The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Emma Supple, is the ceremonial figurehead for the Council: the first citizen of the Borough.

The Mayor of Enfield is the ceremonial figurehead for the Council: the first citizen of the Borough. The Mayor chairs the full Council meeting and acts as an ambassador for Enfield, promoting the borough locally, nationally and internationally. The Mayor is always a Councillor, elected each year by all the other Councillors at the Annual Council meeting. The Mayor is supported in their work by a deputy. Throughout the year the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will attend more than 500 engagements.

The Mayor of Enfield was delighted to attend a wonderful service of music and prayers at Southwark Cathedral for the High Sheriff of Greater London’s Service of Thanksgiving and Evensong, hosted by Dhruv Patel CBE, High Sheriff of Greater London 2026/27.

The Mayor joined fellow Mayors from across London, alongside former Sheriffs, members of the Livery Companies and representatives from the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.

The judiciary was particularly well represented, with Judges, Recorders and Justices of the Supreme Court in attendance, splendid in their judicial robes.

A lovely and important occasion in the London civic calendar, celebrating the traditions of public service and the administration of justice.

Celebrating dedication and service to Girlguiding! 💙⚜️

The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Emma Supple, was delighted to welcome Girlguiding leaders from across Enfield, one of the largest divisions, for a special Long Service Awards evening at the Civic Centre.

A wonderful opportunity to recognise the extraordinary commitment of volunteers who give so much of their time to supporting girls and young women across our borough.

Congratulations to 2nd Enfield Leaders, Charlotte, Alice, Hollie, Brontë, Allison and Carys , who received their 5 Year Service Awards.

Special congratulations to June Borrow, Brown Owl at Enfield Baptist Church, now retired and a new member of the Trefoil Guild, celebrating 30 years of service.

A very special congratulations to Rosemary Milne of 4th Enfield Brownies, recognised for an incredible 50 years of dedication to Girlguiding!

It was also lovely to celebrate with Vicky Stratton and her 9th Enfield leadership team also receiving awards.

The Mayor also received her own 30 Year Service Award, a moment to reflect on decades of fun, adventures and helping generations of girls develop confidence, skills and amazing adventures.

Special thanks to Rebecca, Enfield Division Commissioner, for organising the evening, and to Mags, County Commissioner, for presenting the awards.

Also celebrating Queens Guides awards for Lucy, Mayors consort and Charlotte Armstrong the District Commissioner.

Girlguiding has a proud tradition in Enfield, and these awards are a wonderful reminder of the enormous contribution volunteers make to our communities.

The Mayor of Enfield attended the ‘Be Whole’ Mental Wellbeing Forum, organised by Children & Young Persons Services.

The half-day training event brought together professionals working with children and young people to explore mental health, emotional wellbeing and the importance of early intervention and support.

The Mayor was delighted to address those attending and hear from professionals across the mental health sector, with presentations and workshops covering a range of topics including recognising signs of mental health difficulties, journalling, counselling and emotional wellbeing.

An important opportunity to share knowledge, raise awareness and support those working with young people across our borough.

Thank you to Children & Young Persons Services for organising such a valuable and informative event.

The Mayor of Enfield enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Annual Enfield Vision event in Fore Street, Edmonton.

Many thanks to Diane from Enfield Talking Newspapers (ETN) for showing the Mayor around the stalls and introducing her to representatives from across the visual impairment sector.

It was particularly interesting to learn how artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality are transforming the world for people living with sight loss, helping to improve independence and everyday life.

The Mayor was delighted to meet representatives from leading brands and organisations showcasing the latest innovations and technology.

Thank you to Enfield Vision for the warm welcome and for bringing together such an informative and important event in our borough.

A wonderful day at Bush Hill Park Golf Club for the Mayor’s Charity Golf Day, raising funds for my three Mayoral charities – One-to-One Enfield, Insight Enfield and Whitewebbs Museum of Transport.

The sun shone, 60 golfers took to the course and a great day was enjoyed by all!

Thanks to everyone who played, sponsored, donated prizes and supported the event.

Special thanks to the sponsors, Azad Ayub, Lura Construction, Capital PCC, A&R Construction and Greyline Construction and congratulations to the Greyline Team on their winning round!

Thanks also to Holtwhites Bakery for the delicious fruit buns, Cake Box for the cake, Enfield Town Club for their generous donation, and everyone who contributed to our raffle and auction.

It was particularly lovely to have service users from One-to-One Enfield joining us on the day.

A big thank you to Debbie and the team at Bush Hill Park Golf Club for looking after us so well.

A fantastic community effort, bringing people together and raising funds for three wonderful Enfield charities.

The Mayor of Enfield was delighted to attend the official opening celebration of Trent Park Museum of Secrets, an extraordinary achievement and a wonderful addition to Enfield’s rich heritage.

This remarkable project is the result of imagination, determination and sheer tenacity, led by Jason Charalambous and his dedicated team of Trustees, who have worked for over a decade to bring this important piece of history to life.

Special thanks to Lord Cholmondeley, great nephew of Sir Philip Sassoon, for his support.

Particularly moving were the stories of the secret listeners, whose extraordinary wartime work was undertaken in such secrecy. They must have hoped but not been able to imagine that their contribution would one day be recognised and their stories told to future generations.

The Mayor was especially delighted to meet the children and great grandchildren of some of those listeners, whose pride in their families’ remarkable contributions was wonderful to see.

A genuinely moving occasion and an honour to be part of this important moment in Enfield’s history.

Congratulations to Jason, the Trustees and everyone who has worked so tirelessly to make Trent Park Museum of Secrets a reality.

Pleased to visit Whitewebbs Museum of Transport, one of the Mayor’s three chosen charities, to meet the trustees and some of the wonderful volunteers who keep this very special Enfield museum going.

A fascinating visit, including the Valve Room and the Second World War memorial from the Belling Trust.

A fantastic afternoon with Team Nexus, alongside Cabinet Member Cllr Alexandrou, celebrating their Rowing Initiative for Enfield schools. 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

Young people had the opportunity to experience competitive time trials and learn more about rowing, led by former Latymer pupil and former GB Under-23 rowing champion Luca Ferraro.

A brilliant initiative, opening up rowing to more young people across Enfield and showing them the opportunities that sport can bring.

Delighted to welcome Enfieldians to the Mayor’s Parlour for another Mayor’s Coffee Morning.

A wonderful mix of people representing a myriad of businesses and organisations, including Enfield Town FC, NatWest, Enfield Baptist Rotary, creatives, entrepreneurs and the Loving Social Media team.

A special mention to two of this years Mayoral charities, Whitewebbs Museum of Transport and One-to-One Enfield, who came along too.

Pleased to be joined by Cllr Alex Georgiou, Cllr Andrew Thorpe and Cllr Edward Smith.

Some really interesting and fruitful discussions between people who may never have met otherwise. That is exactly what these coffee mornings are all about bringing Enfieldians together and making new connections.
