A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Westbourne Neighbourhood Plan questionnaire.
The response has been amazing, with over 176 residents taking the time to complete the questionnaire and share their views. Your feedback is invaluable and will help shape the future of our community.
We are now busy collating and analysing all the responses. As soon as we can, we will share the results and let everyone know the overall feeling and priorities of the community.
Thank you once again for getting involved and making your voice heard.

🐶 ‘Let's Talk: Dogs in Public Spaces’ – we want to hear your views!

Rules covering dog fouling, exclusion areas, and where dogs must be kept on a lead in public spaces are set out in a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). These apply to areas such as footpaths and verges, parks, and children’s play areas.
They help ensure everyone can enjoy our beautiful open spaces and beaches, while also protecting local wildlife and supporting responsible dog ownership.

With the current PSPO due to end this October, we’re proposing to extend it for a further three years, with some updates.

👉 Find out more about the proposals and have your say in our quick survey before Friday 5 June by using the link in the comments

You can request a paper copy of the survey by emailing us at: [email protected]

Thank you to everyone who came to last night’s Annual Parish Assembly. Great to see so many of you there! Your feedback on the Neighbourhood Plan review was really helpful and will make sure we get it right for Westbourne.

Other highlights included awarding Frank Campbell with the Freedom of the Parish - the highest honour the Council can bestow to recognise Frank’s outstanding contribution to the village through his chairmanship of Westbourne Community Trust and delivery of the affordable housing scheme.

An interesting presentation was given by Lily Whitaker from Chichester Harbour Conservancy on nature recovery in the harbour and lots of interesting facts about the beauty of salt marshes.

It was great to hear from all the wonderful clubs and groups in Westbourne. You all offer so much to the village and make it an enjoyable place to live 💖
