Many people don’t realise that air ambulance charities are independent and receive no government funding. That’s why raising awareness is so important. 🚁

Every mission we fly is funded by generous public support.

There are so many ways you can help keep our crews flying - from making a donation and taking part in one of our events, to fundraising, volunteering or simply sharing our posts to help spread the word.

Every action, big or small, makes a difference and helps our crews continue saving lives across Yorkshire.

πŸ’› Let’s make sure everyone knows: Every Mission Starts With You.

🚁 Air Ambulance Week 2026 starts today!

This year’s message is simple but powerful: Every Mission Starts With You.

Anyone, anywhere in the UK could experience a medical emergency or traumatic injury at any time. In those critical moments, getting specialist doctors and paramedics to the patient quickly can mean the difference between life and death.

Supporting YAA enables us to get critical care to patients when it’s needed most.πŸ’›

Thank you for being part of the mission.

A huge thank you to Orla and her friend Cici, who recently joined some of our fantastic fundraisers and volunteers to lend a helping hand! 🚁

Orla and Cici’s school is running a brilliant project called 'Outwood Out There', which gives pupils the opportunity to volunteer their time and support projects in their local community.

Orla’s dad, Specialist Paramedic Matty, is part of our YAA crew, so it was extra special to have them supporting the charity together! πŸ’›

Thank you, Orla and Cici, for giving up your time and helping our incredible volunteers and fundraisers. We really appreciate it! πŸ‘πŸš
