☀️🌈 Offftt what is that yellow ball in the sky!? 🌈☀️

💛 What a gorgeous couple of days of sun we've been treated to this week!

🧊 We have been working hard to get the shop all ready for these sunnier days so you lovely lot have a safe, clean and most importantly cool space to explore out of the sun!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 As parents ourselves we are well versed in knowing when it's time for us grown ups to grab a well deserved rest, but knowing that the wee ones still need some time to busy themselves- we have got you covered!

☕️ Iced coffee, frappes, thick shakes- you name it, we have it.

💨 Air conditioning- absolutely!

🧠 Imaginative toys that change every 6-8 weeks to keep your wee ones engaged and exploring, all whilst learning through play!

🔐 A secure, safe space where you can be close enough to keep an eye on your wee ones but give them enough space to roam independently, meeting new pals along the way and gaining some of those all important socialising skills within arms reach. It's the best feeling getting to watch your children grow in confidence each time they visit.

🌈 So whilst these warmer days are upon us...keep in mind we're here! For those cooler play dates which are both as important for the wee ones as they are their grown ups!

🤍🌈 New toys for May 🌈🤍

🙌 The Toy Toon Loon (self named) or Mr TT as we shall call him today has survived his first toy change! Hooray, I think we'll keep him!

👨‍🔧 A good bit of maintenance has been caught up on, a huge tidy up and clean has been the order of the day followed by a complete change around of the toon. A HUGE thank you to the TT handy husband for all his help, he really can fix anything! Phew!

🫶 It's looking amazing if we do say so ourselves- our wee end of the High Street is definitely worth a visit.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 As you all know, we are a wee family ran business- this is why we do what we do, for our wee families and yours! With this is mind, we're taking a short break....and will be closed Saturday 15th May.

🩰 I'm off to watch two of my three girls in their dance show, and finally their dad (the TT handyman!) is home to see them too. What a good day we're going to have, I can't wait.

🥃 Chris will be getting a day to rest up from TT and his proper big job to spend time with his wee ones too- a good weekend for us all.

📰 In other news, we're going to be opening on some Wednesday mornings!! This is going to work around the TT handyman's work rota- so head over to our website, scroll down to the bottom of the front page to check out our calendar dates!! Come & keep me company whilst we try out some new opening hours.

🥐🌈 Breakfast isn't just a morning thing at Toy Toon! 🌈🥐

🥣 No, no, no- there is no cut off time when you can order one of our epic TT breakfasts, hot rolls, well; anything really! If we've got time we of course will make it for you!

😁 We've been told on more than one occasion we have the best bacon rolls around, why not come and put that statement to the test this weekend?!

🍳 Grab a breakfast, piece of cake, wee snack or one of each from our wee fab cafe, enjoy a play with pals and of course your coffee HOT (if ordered that way!) or one of our iced specials. Whatever tickles your fancy.

☕️ As usual, we can never say no to you lovely bunch...

So, not only are we turning out our fantastic new warmer drinks menu- but for all you die hard home made Marshmallow hot chocolate, Sticky Toffee , Pumpkin Spice, Gingerbread latte fans- we will still offer these off the now retired, somewhat secret cooler months menu!

♥️ What a week we've had, you've all been a brilliant bunch whilst Chris and I navigate LWJ (life without Jake!)

🌊 Chris has been on top form and taken to TT shop life like a duck to water. Extra brownie points due to him as I told him we always had a nice peaceful day at the shop when MacMoray was on....we did not! 😂

🎉 You fabulous bunch kept us SO busy I was worried he might not return- he did, hooray!

🌈 Team Toy Toon 🌈

As most of you will already know from visiting Toy Toon over the past few months, the time has come for me to move on to pastures new!

The last day of play for me, before I hang up my “best scrambled egg” maker and chief tidy upper gloves; will be Tuesday 28th of April.

Katy & I have had a magic time together creating and building Toy Toon in to what it is today, and have met some great people along the way! We wouldn't have been able to do it without all your continued support.

Don’t panic though...

Katy has a new team member joining her- Mr Toy Toon, or Toy Loon as he has suggested...(aka Chris). Chris brings with him a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry, he’s a fab baker and most importantly is just as funny as me!

Be nice to him!!

He has been a loyal TT customer since we opened our doors in 2022, coming along to play with his young family regularly and loved what Toy Toon stands for and what it has to offer our wee community. He can't wait to join Team TT!

The next few weeks will be a big change for Katy and Chris, please give them a bit of extra patience and understanding when you're in to visit!

We’re all very excited to see what the next chapter of TT brings! Why not book in over the next few weeks and say bye to me and hello to Chris (who will ABSOLUTELY love being called Mr Toy Toon 😂!)

We can't wait to see you all.

🌼 TT Staff Easter Break 🌼

🌈 It's time for us to take some time off with the littlest members of Team Toy Toon, our out of office is now on!

📆 We will be closed from 18th - 27th March, reopening our doors on Saturday 28th, just in time for a special spring time Easter holiday play!
