Today, we celebrate the culmination of our Year 6 Merlins' extraordinary journey! 🎉 As we mark this milestone, we wish them all a future filled with limitless possibilities. It's a poignant moment for both our young trailblazers and their proud parents.

Last week, they wowed the audience with their captivating performance of 'Grimm, Once Upon a Musical' in the school hall, demonstrating their commitment to excellence. With unshakeable confidence, they brought their characters to life, and showed just how ready they are to move on to the next chapter of their life!

As they near the end of their time at Egerton , our Year 6 children spent an amazing day at Simia Circus. They all made the most of the day, making sure they tried everything!

Mr Langford, Mrs Gomez and Mrs Fewsdale who accompanied the children all took part as well, but unfortunately there are no photos to share.........😉

Last week we had a visit from the RSPCA. They were invited in, to collect some crocheted cat blankets that had been made by some of our year 6 girls. Mrs Lewis, a supply teacher who has worked in the school over the year, has run a crochet club at lunchtimes which the girls have really enjoyed attending.

From the photos, it looks like the cats are really grateful.

As part of our published School Travel Plan, we put in a request to Ashford Borough Council several months ago to have the yellow zig zag lines repainted.

This work was completed last week and they are now very clear. We would appreciate parents and carers support in taking note of these and the signs which state 'no stopping Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm' , when deciding where to park your cars or drop off/collect children. Thank you.

Earlier this week our talented group of 25 dancers from Years 5 and 6 brought the colourful world of emotions to life through a creative "Inside-Out" inspired contemporary routine, at the Great Big Dance Off final in Oxford.

Drawing on the beloved Pixar film, our pupils explored the full spectrum of feelings – from Joy's boundless enthusiasm to Sadness's gentle wisdom – expressing how emotions shape our experiences and help us thrive.

Through dynamic choreography and expressive movement, the children have worked together to tell a story about understanding and respecting ourselves and others. After placing 3rd in their previous competition, reaching this next level was a testament to their dedication and teamwork. This performance celebrates not just their technical skill, but also their emotional awareness and embodies the values that Egerton Church of England Primary nurtures that make our community so special.

We're incredibly proud of their perseverance, creativity, and commitment to this journey, which culminated in a performance at the final!

We are so proud to share that our Eco ambassadors have achieved the Eco-Schools Award with Merit!

This fantastic achievement is the result of lots of hard work and enthusiasm from our ambassadors throughout the year. They took part in the Great Big School Clean Up, ran a successful Eco Shop, joined the Cut Your Carbon campaign, and delivered assemblies to help spread awareness about looking after our environment.

A huge well done to all of our children for their commitment to making a positive difference. We couldn't be prouder of their efforts to help create a greener future!
