The Sheriff of Nottingham's Master at Arms knows the secrets and the history of Sherwood Forest, for he has been pursuing outlaws in the woodland for centuries.

Also known as William de Tankerville, his fascinating tours among the ancient oak trees🌳🌳 are the perfect way to uncover some of the mysteries that linger among their boughs and branches.

He knows the most beautiful pathways through the forest🌲…and the deadliest too. And on the way you'll learn much about the woodland's most famous inhabitant, and about Medieval life.

The walk takes 90 minutes and appropriate footwear 👢for woodland trails is recommended.

🐦REDSTART RAMBLE - LAST FEW TICKETS!⏳

Saturday 6th June - 9:15-10:45am

Join us for a guided walk in search of one of Sherwood’s most distinctive visiting early summer species – the Redstart!

Redstarts are colourful migratory songbirds which can be found in Sherwood as the warmer months take hold – and it’s so important to know that they are here as it is a species that is declining in Europe.

During this leisurely walk🚶‍♀️, we will explore the natural habitats of Redstarts, and learn about their behaviour and how to identify them by their call.🗣

Led by experienced birding guides, you will hike through the beautiful Sherwood woodland and call at the various locations Redstarts are known to frequent here.

Whether you are a seasoned birdwatcher or a beginner, this guided walk is the perfect opportunity to learn more about these fascinating birds.

And don’t forget to bring your binoculars👀 and cameras📸 to capture the sights and sounds of Redstarts in what is one of their favourite UK summer habitats.

Please keep in mind that Redstarts are wild animals and sightings cannot always be guaranteed.

That being said, it's time to introduce our next two performers who will be appearing at Fantasy in the Greenwood weekend!

A Festival staple, bringing his ever popular fire show is What a Palaver. Prepare to be wowed by his fire-spitting feats!
