In the last 12 months, we have supported 450 individuals and couples as they explore opening their home to a child or young person through fostering, adoption or supported lodgings.

That's 450 prospective foster carers, adoptive parents or supported lodgings hosts who have been encouraged, given advice and offered prayer ๐Ÿ™

Shoutout to our amazing Journeying Coaches โ€“ Lawrence, Jo, Judith, Rae, Beth โ€“ who walk alongside those who are exploring providing care, sharing their stories and offering a listening ear โค๏ธ

Last year, in partnership with SU, we ran our first weekend for families with adopted children. We're delighted to share that this year the programme has been expanded and there will be two weekends running this autumn!

The response to last yearโ€™s event was so positive that we knew we had to do it again, and this time, thereโ€™s two dates and two locations to choose from!

13-15th November, Lendrick Muir
20-22nd November, Alltnacriche

What would you do if you didnโ€™t have people to support you? Sadly, for many, that is the reality they face, isolated and without community ๐Ÿ’ญ

Thatโ€™s where a Family Friend can make a world of difference. A Family Friend volunteer provides befriending support to a family struggling with isolation.

Family Friends come alongside a parent or family, build a relationship, and help them to reach the goals theyโ€™ve set. And, as Sally says, it blesses your life as much as the person you're supporting ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ SAVE THE DATE ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

On 6 October, we will gather for Vision Night: an evening to reflect, look forward and pray together!

๐ŸŒŸVision Night is a time to come together with people who care about children and families, hear what God is doing through Home for Good and Safe Families, and look ahead to what comes next.

๐Ÿ’ญCo-CEOs Kat and Tarn will share stories, updates and the vision that continues to shape our work. We would love you to be part of the evening! You donโ€™t want to miss it! ๐ŸŽ‰

Teenage boys are sadly increasingly visible within childrenโ€™s services across the UK.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Around 75% of permanent school exclusions involve boys
๐Ÿ‘‰ More than 95% of those in youth custody are boys
๐Ÿ‘‰ Nearly 75% of suicides are by young men

Across the country, too many teenage boys are struggling with pressures and challenges as they navigate a critical point in their lives: yet the support available to them is inconsistent, fragmented, and often inadequate.

But there is strong evidence that trusted relationships can make a significant impact in the lives of teenage boys. Consistent, relational support and positive male role models are key in changing the narrative for teenage boys.

Our newest report, A Different Story, uncovers the data, the lived experience, and the policy gaps shaping their journeys. It offers a clear call to action for government, local authorities, and the important role the church has to play.

You can make a difference to someone in need today through our partners at Acts 435!

Acts 435 is an online giving charity directly connecting those who want to give with those who are in genuine need of their help, through a network of local churches and charities โค๏ธ

Peer Support Groups offer a space where parents and carers can connect, share experiences, and find encouragement. Meeting in churches and community spaces across the UK, they provide invaluable peer relationships which in turn reduce isolation and strengthen families.

In our 2026 peer support survey for foster carers and adoptive parents: 84% said peer support helped them feel understood, 52% received emotional support, and 49% learned from others with shared experiences.

The difference these groups make is significant for children and families.
