Happy Friday everyone! Here's a message from our wonderful and talented art group, for their next project.

" 'Fountainbridge Library's Art Group for adults is meeting again on September 14th 5.30pm-7.30pm. Everyone welcome!

We will be working towards our Autumn themed Exhibition next month, by using paints we have made ourselves using natural materials such as spices, leaves, anything we can think of 😀

Bring along your own or share ours. Just give it a try. Why not!

An update from the Fountainbridge Library Arts Group:

Last time, we explored collage and painting air-dry clay, creating lots of colourful and playful pieces — including some creative experiments using leaves and even a gherkin as a paintbrush!

Spoiler alert: we’re getting ready for our upcoming Autumn Exhibition… more to follow soon!

Next time, our theme is Silence Disco — listen to music while you create! Feel free to bring your own headphones.

Everyone is welcome, so come along, get creative and have some fun with us!

Thank you so much to all our wonderful customers who attended our activities over the summer holidays! It was so nice to see so many of you. Now that the summer holiday's are officially over, we are back to our usual schedule.

Today we have Lego Club at 3pm, which is now back to its usual once a week timeslot. All children between 5 and 12 are welcome, all you need is an adult present. We hope to see you there!

A message from our wonderful and talented Arts and Crafts group:

"Last week we had a fantastic time creating with air-dry clay.

A big thank you to Clodagh for leading such an enjoyable and creative session!

Next session we'll be adding colour to our clay creations. If you have your own art or craft project you'd like to work on, you're very welcome to bring it along. Please join us on Monday, 10 August at 5:30 pm.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're returning or joining us for the first time. We look forward to seeing you there!"

Did you know Fountainbridge Library have not only a children's crafts group, but an art group for adults too?! Here's a few words from our friends from the group:

"We had such a lovely time at our last Fountainbridge library’s Art group session, experimenting with watercolours using salt, alcohol and cling film. There was plenty of fun, chatter, laughter and, of course, biscuits! 🍪

Join us for our next session on Monday 27 July at 5:30pm, when we'll be getting creative with air-dry clay. No experience needed—just come along, have a go and enjoy a relaxed, friendly evening.

We'd love to welcome some new faces, so come and join us! 😊"
