Love Reading? Share the Love.

Reading can help you relax, connect with others, and discover more about the things you love. Whether you’re interested in gaming, gardening or Georgian architecture, your library is the perfect place to explore your interests — and share them with others.

If you’ve read something you think others might enjoy, why not pick up a postcard at YOUR local Staffordshire library? Pass it on to a friend, family member, group or colleague — or leave it in the library for someone else to discover.

Share a story. Build a connection.
Whatever you’re into, you’ll find your library is the perfect place to Go All In.

✍️ Got a story to tell? We want to read it!

Staffordshire Libraries have launched their first ever short story competition to celebrate the National Year of Reading – and we’re inviting local writers to get creative.

If you’re seven or over, grab your pen (or keyboard!) and write a family-friendly story set in Stafford. Keep it under 1,500 words and send it to us by Thursday 30 April.

A brilliant panel will choose the winners, including including the Staffordshire Poet Laureate, Scarlett Ward, and the Staffordshire Young Poet Laureate Pearl Knight-Dutton 🌟

The winning stories will then appear in a special book published by former Staffordshire Poet Laureate Mel Wardle Woodend – and the book will sit proudly on our library shelves for everyone to enjoy 📚
