Ebbw Vale Deaf Club Ebbw Vale Deaf Club aims to meet the social needs of the deaf community in Blaenau-Gwent. Welcome to our Page! Refreshments are available.

We are an organisation that wants to support the deaf community in Ebbw Vale and the surrounding areas of Blaenau-Gwent. We currently provide frequent in-house activites, community events and trips across the UK. We charge a small £1 fee each Friday to cover Club running costs. We welcome D/deaf people and people looking to develop their sign language skills. The Club is a BSL environment.

It is sad news today. We are now closing the final doors of Ebbw Vale Deaf Club today. We committee members would like to give our huge thanks to our members past & present thank you for all your support in the last 15 years it would be 16 years on 30th april. Again thank you to all to have taken an interest in viewing. Good luck in the future all is left to say is goodbye. GOODBYE EVERYONE.😭

Hi everyone just let you know we had a good trip but we had bad luck cos on the day we going to Porthmadog in north wales for ffestiniog welsh hangland steam train,
Guess what? our car turbo broke down, there hell of smoke oh no lucky is a only mile left to go Travelodge, my husband still drove to get arrive to Travelodge to leave the car there until RAC! we made it phew! lol cos also we want make it time for meal yes! we've book it but is was toooo late they saying closed food cooking at 8pm we were there WHAT! only 10 mins late that all ...the members are p**s off and hungry also bu****it cos all pub do food finish at 9pm anyway they lost customers ......so we went looking round for available meal the last one accept is was hotel and very expensive hmmm no choice went in but Guess what? disappointed the food was awful not worth money so we all really fed up.
The next day one of our member had to go home cos father is very ill oh no was a waste journey aw bless her, so we went to steam train guess what the 3 members was so late we miss the train at suppose go 11.10am but we got in 1.30pm but cant get off for looking round cos this one only 15mins stopping by cos got get back in time for meal later quite disappointed etc
Anyway the last we finally ready to go way back home my hubby is going home with RAC he wont be able having meal with us shame, the meal was in Builth wells pub name is Wheelwright Arms phew finally there were best meal and reasonable price also they got lovely little shop behind they bar and all homemade very different flavour of chutney, jams and all sorts of other things interesting the only shame my hubby not here.
we will taking him there one day.
