Our afternoon tea at the Colin Dyson this afternoon was a great success with attendees asking when are we hosting the next one. We intend hosting another mid November with a Christmas theme and a date is to be confirmed. Thanks to our wonderful cook Jen for baking and preparing the tea; thanks also to two of our volunteers Maria and Sandra for providing a first class service and of course thank you to all attendees for supporting our fundraising. I will post the date of the next one once a date is agreed.

Today is our Afternoon Tea event from 2 pm. We are looking forward to welcoming you all to this special event. Parking outside the Colin Dyson Centre is limited so please park on Edward Road and surrounding streets carefully, respecting the residents. Dropping off those who have more limited mobility should be fine but then move to park further away if no spaces are available nearby. Thank you and enjoy the delicious food our cook has freshly prepared.

The heat here at the Colin Dyson Centre doesn't get us down. Jen our wonderful cook served a lovely salad for our members and it was well received. Our appetites aren't the same when the temperatures soar and a nice fruit cheesecake to follow was just the ticket to help us keep 'cool'. Dancing today to the wonderful Colin our regular crooner made the day extra special.

The wonderful Carl entertained today and members always enjoy his Orbison/Mathis sounding voice. A great vocalist and well received.
Lunch last Thursday was Fish, Chips (home made) and Mushy Peas followed by fruit trifle. Today has beem Cottage Pie and to follow home made Cherry Scones and fresh cream.
