Attending your Diabetic Eye Screening?

It’s important to let your screener know if:
You are or may be pregnant
You have photosensitive epilepsy
You’ve had a recent eye operation
You’ve had a previous reaction to the eye drops used during screening

Sharing this information helps us make sure your screening is carried out safely and effectively.

At the weekend, we were pleased to join the Diabetes UK Wi******er and Eastleigh Support Group at their awareness stand in Tesco New Milton.

It was fantastic to chat with shoppers about diabetes, eye health and the importance of attending diabetic eye screening appointments. We had lots of positive conversations, answered questions about our service and helped raise awareness of how screening can detect changes in the eyes before they affect sight.

A big thank you to the volunteers from Diabetes UK for their warm welcome and for the amazing work they do supporting people living with diabetes.

This week, we'd like to give special recognition to Karen, who recently received some wonderful feedback from a patient seen at Gillies Surgery.

The patient praised Karen's amazing attitude, kindness and care throughout their appointment and asked for her to be recognised for the positive experience she provided.
