Merseyside Wing Cross Country

1123 Squadronโ€™s Junior Boys delivered an outstanding performance at the Merseyside Cross Country Competition, battling through challenging weather conditions to secure both individual and team victories.

Cdt Amer led the way with an amazing run, finishing 1st place individually and setting the standard for the rest of the field. Backing up this achievement, the team of Amer, Keane, Murphy, and Wilson worked together brilliantly to claim 1st place in the team competition, demonstrating both determination and strong team spirit.

Also representing the squadron were Smith and Morgan, who competed with determination and resilience in the same tough conditions. While they did not place this time, their effort, commitment, and positive attitude were a credit to the squadron.

Despite difficult weather on the day, the event highlighted the resilience and enthusiasm of all participants. Competitors pushed through the conditions with impressive determination, and it was clear that, regardless of the rain and mud, the cadets enjoyed every moment of the experience.

A fantastic achievement for 1123 Squadron and a proud day for all involved.

On 20th January, 631 AGS awarded Bronze Wings to two cadets from 1123 Squadron following the successful completion of their aviation training.

To achieve this award, the cadets were required to demonstrate a high standard of aviation knowledge and practical skills, including a strong understanding of basic flight principles and air power. Their commitment, focus, and professionalism throughout the course resulted in their success and the well-earned award of their wings.

The cadets can be seen here receiving their awards from Sqn Ldr Storey, marking an important milestone in their RAF Air Cadets journey. The Squadron is extremely proud of their achievement and looks forward to supporting them as they continue to develop their aviation knowledge and skills.

A fantastic accomplishment โ€” congratulations to both cadets ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปโœˆ๏ธ
