INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL- GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND- DISTRICT 22-PRESENTATION OF MARGARATTE GOLDING AWARD TO JOAN GREEN OF WARSOP CLUB, ON THE 5th NOVEMBER 2025.
GB&I Association Editor Diane Hylton reported that, District Chairman, Joy Fox, of D22 ,Great Britain & Ireland (GB & I) was delighted to present Joan Green the prestigious Margarette Golding Award at their Cub Charter Day on the 5th November 2025.
The citation read: “For her outstanding contribution volunteering for the National Police Aid
Charity. Sourcing and packing goods for children and schools in Zambia and the Gambia”.

The container we loaded in August has safely arrived in The Gambia. Donations include 355 school stacking chairs, 16 bicycles, school cupboards, school uniform, sports clothing, shoes and toys.

A successful day loading a 40ft container two weeks ago for the master Njundu Darboe Charity Foundation in 158 school tables, 355 school chairs from Peafield lane school and plus over 900 other items including bicycles from and an organ from St Peter’s school, Mansfield.

School tables and chairs have arrived safely in The Gambia having been loaded from Burlington junior school in Kingston upon Thames in April.

A huge thank you to the teams from West Country group and ‘we are authentic education’ for loading 2 x 40ft shipping containers in 8 hours with school furniture- 234 tables, 977 chairs / stools and 29 cupboards destined for and A massive effort by all involved. 👏

The EMCCF container we loaded on 6th May has arrived safely in The Gambia. Presentations have been made to distribute the donations. .
