🚦 ROADWORKS: Ockham Road South, East Horsley
Multi-way traffic signals will be in operation on Ockham Road South while repairs are carried out to approximately 15 metres of the Grade II listed churchyard boundary wall.
📅 19 October – 30 October 2026
⏰ From 10am on 19 October until 11.59pm on 30 October
🚦 Multi-way signals will be in place at all times.
The works are being carried out under Surrey County Council reference S171 – 343026.
Please allow extra time for your journey and take care when travelling through the area.

Financial help available through the Mayor of Guildford’s Local Support Fund
Are you a Guildford Borough resident struggling to make ends meet?
The Mayor of Guildford’s Local Support Fund may be able to help with:
• Kitchen items and appliances
• Household furniture and carpets
• Clothing
• Debt Relief Orders
Applications can be submitted on your behalf by organisations including Guildford Borough Council, Citizens Advice, social services, health visitors, doctors and schools.
We aim to make a decision within five working days.

NOTICE OF CASUAL VACANCY – EAST HORSLEY PARISH COUNCIL
There is currently one casual vacancy on East Horsley Parish Council following the resignation of Councillor Anna Mitchell.
In accordance with the statutory notice, a by-election will be held if 10 electors of the parish give written notice to the Proper Officer requesting an election.
The deadline for such a request is 5pm on Monday 5 October 2026.

If no election is requested by the deadline, the Parish Council will be entitled to fill the vacancy by co-option.

🚧 Keeping East Horsley's roads safe 🚧

Ever driven past a road sign so overgrown you could barely read it? Not in East Horsley! 🌿

Our road signs have just had their annual clean, thanks to local window cleaner Damien Clark. Meanwhile, Village Warden Nick Clemens has been out with his long-handled hedge trimmer, cutting back vegetation that had started to obscure some signs from view.

Small jobs, big impact — clear, visible signs help keep everyone on our roads safe. 👍
