Tomorrow is the day! Our firefighters will be taking part in the East Grinstead Triathlon tomorrow! They’re all very much looking forward to it! 😄 Why not head down tomorrow to support them as they compete in either the swim, run or bike ride!

On May 10th, six Firefighters from East Grinstead Fire Station are undertaking the challenge of the East Grinstead Triathlon in full fire kit! They will be carrying a 90kg dummy on a stretcher for the run section. Here is the stretcher they will be carrying!

The crew are focussing on their training more than ever as the event draws even closer. 🏃‍♂️ 💨 🔥

Here’s a look at some of the kit the crew will be wearing for the triathlon! 🏃🚴‍♀️🏊‍♀️

The kit is a lot heavier than what you would usually wear for this sort of exercise, and is VERY warm! 🥵 Ontop of this, the crew will also carry on a stretcher a full sized training dummy for the run section, and be wearing breathing apparatus sets on their backs for the cycle section.
