We would like to say a huge thank you to ABLE UK for allowing some of our Industrial Trainers the opportunity to visit their Hartlepool site for a look around the Brent Charlie oil rig that Able UK are currently decommissioning. The visit has provided us with invaluable knowledge and experience of oil platforms which will greatly assist in our delivery of OPITO accredited courses with the view to providing learners with the best possible courses with VFS. In addition to the visit, Able UK generously donated some offshore emergency equipment which will be used on the offshore courses to add even greater realism and hands on experience with the actual equipment that is used offshore

About the Fire Fighters Charity
For over 80 years, Fire Fighters Charity has been here for the whole of the UK Fire and Rescue Service community.
The charity provides expert care, wellbeing support, practical support and information and advice whenever a member of the fire family may need help with their physical or mental health and wellbeing.
The charity is independent of the fire service and has caring and skilled staff who understand the unique needs of the fire family. Fire Fighters Charity’s range of care, support and advice is offered in confidence, in-person, online or by telephone – all through self-referral.

How the Fire Fighters Charity can help
Fire service personnel can face significant pressures every day – whether attending incidents, taking calls or supporting frontline teams - so prioritising their health and wellbeing throughout their life is vitally important.
And that’s where the charity can help.
Whether it’s stress or anxiety - either due to circumstances at work or at home - an injury or illness, or the need to access benefits or financial support, the charity has a huge range of health and wellbeing services on offer.

It's a massively busy week at Vital Fire Solutions Ltd. We are running 2 Skills for Justice Breathing Apparatus Instructor courses - one for industrial customers in the nuclear industry in Durham and one on-site at Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service .

On top of that, we're running commercial Incident Command type courses for a National energy company, whilst also fitting P50 Fire extinguishers at Selwood Ltd in Leeds as part of our national roll-out contract.

There's been loads more over the last couple of days and more in the near future - always keeping busy here at VFS
