Grove Corner is a centre for young people and we offer drop in's and activities throughout the year.

This week young people welcomed Creative Core Group to Grove Croner and brought their amazing ideas and enthusiasm to assist with the development of new audio-visual element of the exhibition in Priory House Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms.

It was great to see the next generation interested in their local heritage ensuring that we tell the stories in a way that is engaging and accessible for all.

Come along to Grove Corner on Monday 18 May from 3.45 pm to 5.15 pm for a free creative session with Creative Core. Meet artist and designer Leo and Holly for a fun, relaxed creative session ft. storytelling, acting and VR, as we think about a cool new immersive experience for Priory House Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms.

Looking for a safe, relaxed space for your children to unwind after a busy week of school? 🎒✨ We’re hosting a Sats Party at Grove Corner on Wednesday 20 May frrom 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

We’re providing a supervised and welcoming environment where children aged 10 to 12 can decompress, socialise, and enjoy some well-earned downtime with friends. 🛋️

💬 To make things even easier, we’ve got the food covered with free pizza and refreshments for everyone who drops by! 🍕🥤

There’s no need to book or register in advance—it’s completely free to attend, so they can just turn up on the day. 🎟️✅ It’s a great opportunity for them to refuel and relax in a positive community setting. We can't wait to see them there! 😊🙌

🕓 4 pm to 5.30 pm – The centre is open for young people aged 13 to 18!
Come hang out and make the most of all the facilities 🎮🎨
Youth workers are really keen to hear your ideas for future activities – and there have already been some brilliant suggestions 👀✨ so watch this space!

🕕 6 pm to 7.45 pm – Junior Youth Club meets!
Perfect for young people aged 10 to 13 🎉

🚫 Please note: There is no Grove Corner or detached youth work on Monday due to the bank holiday. All sessions will resume on Tuesday (05 May).

The Detached Team will be at the Leisure Centre from 4 pm 🕓, giving you free access to half the court from 4.15 pm to 5.15 pm to play basketball 🏀 or football ⚽

The Detached Youth Workers are excited to be hosting two awesome events this May Half Term for young people aged 12–19 (up to 25 for SEND) 🙌

🛹 Tuesday 26 May – Team Rubicon will be back at Grove Skate Park for an action-packed Skate Jam!
🕹️ Thursday 28 May – Step into the past with a fun Retro Arcade experience at Grove Corner!

What’s on each week at Grove Corner?

A relaxed drop-in session straight after school. Come in, unwind, and stay as long as you like. You’re free to come and go, so you can pop out for food and return if you wish.

A must for Pokémon fans—trade cards, play games, create your own designs, or just enjoy themed activities with others who share your interests.

t’s nearly the weekend 🎉 but before then, there are some great activities for young people in the town to enjoy!

Tonight, Thursday 23 April 📅, from 4 pm the detached team will be at The Leisure Centre, and from 4.15 pm to 5.15 pm, young people aged 12 to 18 (up to 25 SEND) can use half a court for FREE to play football ⚽ or basketball 🏀.

Tomorrow, Friday 24 April 📅, there are two sessions taking place at Grove Corner for young people:

Session 1: 4 pm to 5.30 pm for young people aged 13 to 18. A space to chill 😎 with friends, game in the gaming suite 🎮, use the Switch 2s or the PS5, and have your say on what you want sessions to look like!

Session 2: 6 pm to 7.45 pm for young people aged 10 to 13 to use all the facilities and have fun with friends 🎉

All sessions are FREE to attend ✅, with no prebooking required – just turn up and have fun!

At your first session, a short registration form will need to be completed 📝. Anyone under 12 must have this completed by an adult.
