🎬We've got some exciting news from Culross Palace this week!

The Palace will be closed tomorrow Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th June while some filming takes place. We know, we know, we wish we could say more too!

But here's the good news. We'll be running Towntours on both days every hour from 10:30am to 15:30pm. If you've never done one before, this is the perfect excuse. An hour exploring the burgh's most fascinating corners with one of our guides.

Book your spot on the day from the Townhouse shop. Tickets are £8.50 per adult, £3.50 per child and free for under 5s.

🎥Calling all Outlander lovers, we’ve got something special waiting for you at Culross Palace.

Join us for a very unique behind the scenes talk about what happened when the Outlander team returned to film Season 7. You’ll hear how the crew recreated those beautiful 18th‑century rooms while keeping the Palace’s delicate interiors safe.

As a final treat, you’ll also get the chance to take a closer look at the iconic dress worn by Geillis Duncan.

It’s hard to describe what a “Spirits of the Palace” tour is like. Tonight’s tour was pretty amazing! One guest was back for the second time in a row! Let’s just say that some of the young ladies on the tour will be telling the tales to their grandchildren. The difficult bit is remembering everything that happened, so if any of the ladies who were there tonight would like to try to describe it, please do?
It’s more fun and fascinating than scary, but if you’re brave enough to join us, there are a few tickets left for our June and September tours. We’d love to find out what you think too! 🤔👻

🌞 A sunny weekend is on the way, perfect for a trip to Culross Palace!

With warm weather ahead, Culross is the perfect place to wander the cobbled streets, breathe in the scents of our Palace Garden, and explore rooms filled with secrets and stories. And don’t forget to see the Outlander dress now on display!

Thank you to everyone who came on the Spirits of the Palace Tour yesterday. It was the first of the season and an incredible evening! 🙏
It’s simply a Palace tour with a bit of history and stories of former residents, but it’s not every tour when a guest sees a streak of light followed by a disembodied man’s face standing beside the female tour leader, (we know who the lovely chap is) then have a metallic, blood-like taste while in one building but not in the next, and another experiences a “slight tingling like an insect sting” on his hand, and moments later, as the group looks on, it forms the shape of one of the “protection marks” in the Palace…disappearing as soon as he leaves the room! Guests also experienced lots of laughs but also unexpected tears…. a real, rollercoaster of emotions, plus the “usual” footsteps from an “empty” room.
It’s been a much loved, happy home and workplace….a very special wee Palace which never truly rests.
