What a fantastic evening we had last night when we welcomed Claire Mitchell KC one of the founders of The Witches of Scotland campaign to Duloch library.
Claire gave a fascinating talk about The Witches of Scotland's campaign for justice for the 4,000 plus individuals, predominantly women, who were accused of witchcraft in Scotland.
She also talked about the history of the witch trials in Scotland and about the book she co-authored with fellow founder, Zoe Venditozzi, How to kill a Witch-A guide for the Patriarchy.
Thanks you so much to Claire for coming along and sharing her knowledge of one of the most shocking miscarriages of justice in Scottish history.

We are really looking forward to welcoming The Witches of Scotland to Duloch library on Thursday! If you are lucky enough to have tickets for this sold out event the doors open at 6:45pm for a 7pm start. Waterstones Dunfermline are coming along so there will be an opportunity to buy a book and have it signed.

We are so excited to announce that the award winning author JD Kirk will be visiting the library to talk about his amazing crime series of books featuring DCI Jack Logan, Robert Hoon and DI Heather Filson!
JD Kirk is a Scottish crime fiction author who has written and published over twenty novels in the DCI Jack Logan series and has gone on to sell more than five million copies of his books. He has also murdered approximately fifty fictional highlanders in his career, much to the delight of his worldwide fans who particularly love his twisting plots, gruesome deaths and laugh-out-loud humour!
He will be joining us on Monday 27th July at 7pm at Duloch library to discuss his books, including his latest release in the DCI Jack Logan series, Better the Devil.

What a way to celebrate World Book Night!

We were lucky to welcome award-winning crime author Tariq Ashkanani, to the library last night for an amazing talk about his books including 'The Midnight King' and forth coming novel 'The Hollow Boys'.

Tariq gave a brilliant insight into his books, his writing process and there was time at the end for the audience to ask him questions. It was a great evening for everyone, with some brilliant feedback.

A huge thank you to Tariq for giving an interesting and informative talk and also big thanks to Waterstones Dunfermline for selling Tariq's books on the evening.

If you haven't had a chance to read any of Tariq's books, pop into the library and request a copy! If you like a dark and gritty read, you won't be disappointed.

It's World Book Night on Thursday 23rd April and what a better way to celebrate than coming along to our exciting author event with Tariq Ashkanani.
