Looking for something to do on a Saturday?

We will be holding a drop-in craft session on Saturday 19th September between 2-3pm. This craft is free and for children aged 4 years+ (children aged under 8 years must be supervised by an adult).
No booking required, but spaces are limited, so there may be a wee wait around the craft table for your turn. However we have plenty of books to keep you entertained whilst you wait!

After a lovely summer holiday, Bookbug is back and raring to go!

Our first Bookbug session is Wednesday 26th August at 10.30am and booking opens on Thursday 20th August at 10.30am. You can book online by visiting the the link below to book your place or calling the library on 01383 602208- spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Bookbug is for wee ones aged 0-4 years.
(*Unfortunately we cannot take bookings through email or Messenger).

We are looking forward to getting back to singing the old favourites including The Wheels on the bus, You cannae shove your granny and Row Your Boat!

We’re very excited to announce that Scottish writer Karen Campbell will be visiting Duloch Library on Thursday 1st October 2026. She’s the author of nine novels. Her latest book ‘This Bright Life’ was shortlisted for the Saltire Prize 2025. She’ll be talking about how she became a writer, taking everyday people and situations, then digging deep beneath the surface, to uncover what makes us all unique-but also what unites us. There will be a Q and A afterwards and we’re delighted Waterstones will be attending selling her books which can then be signed.

It was the last of our drop-in crafts yesterday, so we decided to combine the creatures of previous weeks and have fun creating silly monsters! The results were amazing!

We have thoroughly enjoyed the drop-in crafts over the summer, which have been a huge success. The creations were brilliant!!

Thank you to everyone who came along and took part and helped make our summer fun!

Our last drop-in session for the holidays is Tuesday 11th August 2-4pm. Come along and join in the fun! (*Spaces may be limited but we have loads of books to read to keep you amused!).

Did you know that there are 3 different words for a group of hippos?

A bloat, a pod and a herd!

Well, Duloch Library had all 3 of those yesterday when we held our weekly summer craft session to make hippos!

We had lots and lots of very talented children who all enjoyed making and decorating their hippos. Thank you to all those that attended.

Our next drop in craft session is Tuesday 4th August 2-4pm.

What an amazing night we had last night listening to the award winning author JD Kirk! Thanks so much to everyone for coming along and making the evening so much fun! Can't wait to read his new DCI Logan book, Better the Devil, and it was fascinating listening to him describing his writing process and background! 😀
