Today marks the launch of the £1.5 million Improving Access Fund, created exclusively for use by organisations currently delivering disabled people led activity in Scotland.

The Fund, managed by Inspiring Scotland, is part of the Scottish Government’s Disability Equality Plan and will support projects that strengthen access to essential services, promote independent living, and improve financial security, inclusion, and wellbeing for disabled people.

We welcome the opening of this fund but know that there is still work to be done. Our CEO Heather Fisken said at the launch, “The fund is an important step, but it is a first step. More funding is required – out the door and enabling change.”

Read more about the Fund here: https://inspiringscotland.org.uk/fund/improving-access-fund/

Image Description: A square graphic with a light purple background. At the top, there is the Inclusion Scotland logo, which consists of a stylized purple icon resembling a person next to the words “Inclusion Scotland” in bold purple text. Below the logo, centred in large dark purple text, the message reads: “Today marks the launch of the £1.5 million Improving Access Fund.”
