A proud occasion for Dundee and The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

On Saturday 20 June 2026, The Royal Regiment of Scotland will be awarded the Freedom of Dundee.

5 SCOTS will parade through the city centre before the ceremony in City Square, marking this special occasion. Veterans, cadets and representatives of the Regiment's antecedent regiments are invited to attend and be part of the day.

We look forward to seeing a strong veteran presence in Dundee to support this significant event.

Great to come together for the SSAFA AGM yesterday! A brilliant day bringing everyone into one room to reflect on the past year and look ahead with real energy and purpose.

It was great to catch up, share updates from across the branch, and recognise all the work happening throughout the year.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success!

A really special day at Carnoustie Panmure for Armed Forces Day in support of SSAFA.

It was great to see SSAFA members, young participants, and the wider community all coming together throughout the day, taking part in activities and sharing in the occasion.

From the SSAFA stand and engagement areas to the atmosphere around the pitch, and the presence of the pipe band, the day reflected community spirit, respect, and appreciation for the Armed Forces community.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day meaningful 🩵.

Will you Purple Up! to show your support for service children?

April marks the Month of the Military Child and supporters from within and outwith, the Armed Forces community are being called upon to get behind the campaign by donning purple this Friday 24 April.

There are an estimated 121,600 service children in the UK alone, and being a military child means so many different things to so many children.

The Month of the Military Child - and Purple Up! Day is a chance to highlight children of serving families, show them they're seen, and celebrate the contribution they make to their communities.🩵

Really proud to see Rae and John recognised for their long service at the recent SSAFA Scotland Volunteer Conference.
