Sometimes innovation starts by asking a different question…

A question that challenges assumptions, unlocks new thinking and opens opportunities that weren't visible before.

In today's economic climate, the ability to adapt and think differently has never been more important for rural businesses.

That's why this year's Scottish Rural Leadership Programme has partnered with the Glasgow School of Art's Innovation School to help rural businesses recognise opportunities, strengthen creative thinking and develop practical approaches to innovation that can be applied within their own businesses and organisations.

Working alongside experts in design-led thinking at the Glasgow School of Art, participants will explore new ways of looking at challenges and opportunities within their business. They'll step back from the day-to-day, work through real issues, learn from others and develop practical ideas they can take back and apply immediately.

And we know how valuable that can be.

98% of participants said the programme introduced them to new thinking
92% said it transformed their approach to management and leadership

Participants highlighted the programme's role in helping them scale their businesses, access new markets and pursue new opportunities with greater confidence and ambition.

Looking back, he describes it as "the best thing that we ever did."
