Uppertunity is a Dundee-based charity dedicated to empowering individuals to lead fuller, more meaningful lives. They work with people aged 16 and over who have an additional support need of any kind, including learning disabilities and autism. Their mission is to create safe, supportive and creative spaces that encourage growth, equality and togetherness. ❤️

Watch them march in the Dundee Get Together parade and they will also be providing catering for our parade participants!

Dundee’s Twinning Associations help build friendships and connections between the people of Dundee and those of its twin cities through cultural, educational and community activities. 🗺️

At the Dundee Get Together Parade, the Dundee Alexandria Twinning Association (DATA), Dundee-Nablus Twinning Association (DNTA), Dundee Orléans Twinning Association, and Dundee Wuerzburg Twinning (DWTA) will march together under one banner to celebrate these international friendships.

The Angus Kilties are a well known Highland dance school and performance group based in Arbroath and Dundee. They regularly participate in local competitions, civic events, and festivals, providing Highland dance classes and entertainment for all ages. 🩰

Claypotts Castle 🏰✨

One of the quirkiest castles in Scotland, Claypotts Castle is a hidden gem tucked among modern homes in Dundee. Built in the 16th century by John Strachan, this well-preserved castle is known for its unique towers and distinctive Scottish design. Even surrounded by newer buildings, it still feels like stepping back in time.

Dundee is full of history, beautiful castles and coastal views, making it a great place to explore Scotland’s past and enjoy the charm of the city.

Whilst mainly only able to be viewed from the exterior, Historic Scotland do run several free open days throughout the year.
