🔥 Wildfire warning for Central and Eastern Scotland 🔥

There is a very high risk of wildfire in these areas until Sunday, 26 April.

Wildfires have the potential to destroy property, landscapes and wildlife. All it takes is one spark to spread, causing a large amount of damage.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a 'harmless' fire.

🚒 Share this wildfire warning to help spread the word.

Congratulations to FF Bunting-Gray, our Development Firefighter who has completed a 2-week intensive Breathing Apparatus & Fire Behaviour Initial Training Course at Newbridge Training Centre.

FF Bunting-Gray now returns to Dunblane Community Fire Station as competent "BA Wearer" and importantly, now contributes to crewing numbers and overall appliance availability.

FF Bunting-Gray is now going to enjoy a few days away from all things Fire Service after a physically challenging two weeks. 👍🏼💪🏻
Well done and enjoy your time away.

‼️ Fire Hydrant Testing - Possible Water Discolouration -‼️🚒💦

Dunblane and surrounding villages fire hydrants will be getting tested, starting Monday 23rd of February. If you know your park over the top of one of our lids and will restrict access, can you please refrain from doing this please.

This will continue for approximately the next week or two.

As a reminder, during testing you may experience water discoloration in your home as a result if the hydrant in your area is tested.

Hydrant flushing is necessary to test the hydrants to make sure adequate flow and pressure is available. Flushing is also done to remove sediment from the pipes in order to maintain water clarity and quality in the distribution pipes.

Your water is safe to drink. Occasionally, water becomes discolored after hydrant flushing. If this happens, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. If it doesn’t clear the first time, wait a few minutes and run the water again.

Please be patient and respectful to our staff as they are only carrying out their job.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 🚒💦
