THE MOBILE POST OFFICE IS UNDER THREAT
Please help save this essential local service in Dummer.
As part of its review on how to shape the future of the Post Office, the government has proposed ending its subsidy of less well used post offices, including village outreaches and some smaller post offices, especially those operating part- time hours.
This would mean the end of your local mobile post office, on which so many people rely for essential services such as parcel post, stamps, bill/rent payments, bank withdrawals and cash/cheque deposits.
What would this mean to you or your elderly or vulnerable neighbours who would find it difficult to get to another post office or bank?
PLEASE HAVE YOUR SAY
• Contribute to the Government’s survey
• Write to your MP
• Encourage your local councillors & friends to give their views too
• Or give me a letter to pass on.
There is still time to stop this! The deadline is Monday 6th October.
Please feel free to message me for more information. Thank you, Kevin May (postmaster).
