On , West Midlands County would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who works and volunteers across our emergency services.

From ambulance crews, police officers and firefighters, to control room teams, NHS colleagues and the many volunteers and support staff working behind the scenes, thank you for everything you do to keep our communities safe.

We are incredibly proud of our own St John Ambulance volunteers across the West Midlands who give their time to support our communities, work alongside our emergency service partners and be there when people need us most.

We will be at Woodgate Valley, Sandwell Valley & Dudley parkrun 08:30 till 10:30.

Yesterday, our amazing volunteers and Cadets were proud to provide first aid cover at the Mary Stevens Hospice Summer Fayre. 💚

It was fantastic to support such a wonderful local charity and be part of a brilliant community event. A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help! 👏

Standing with the Stourbridge Community 💚

A week on from the devastating wildfires that affected Stourbridge; Our thoughts remain with everyone who was impacted, displaced or affected by the fires, and we wish everyone well as the community begins to recover.

During the response, our volunteers were proud to support Dudley Council at the rest centres at Stourbridge Town Hall and Oldswinford Hospital School (OSH).

With just 10 minutes’ notice, our volunteers were ready to respond. From 10pm on Thursday until 11pm on Sunday, we provided support around the clock, helping to ensure that those using the rest centres had the support they needed.

💚 22 different volunteers supported the response
⏱️ Over 300 volunteer hours were given
🏠 Support provided across two rest centres
🌙 24-hour cover throughout the response

We would like to say a huge thank you to every one of our volunteers who dropped everything, gave up their time and stepped forward to help their community.

We are incredibly proud of the way our team responded at such short notice.

Most importantly, our thoughts remain with everyone affected by the fires.

We stand with the Stourbridge community. 💚
