Its been a busy start to the final half term of this academic year and its always the busiest term for us for upcoming transitions, children leaving for school etc.

👩‍🍳👩‍🍳 CRUMBLES IS BACK FROM HIS FIRST ADVENTURE 👩‍🍳👩‍🍳
Crumbles our chef bear is back from his visit to Connell's house at weekend and he had a great time.

Connell's mummy has shared with us some pictures of what they got upto, starting with Connell showing Crumble's the way home from nursery and said they all had a great time!

The feedback from Connell's mummy was that it was a fantastic idea and was so easy to follow, having all the ingredients prepared and weighed out meant that Connell could get stuck in without having to wait for everything to be measured out meaning they could spend more time talking about the ingredients, what they were going to do and how they were going to do it.

We're so pleased Crumbles had a good time and we'll be getting him prepared for his next adventure very soon!

👩‍🍳 CRUMBLES IS READY FOR HIS FIRST ADVENTURE 👩‍🍳
Crumbles our nursery cook bear has finally finished perfecting his recipes and is ready to start his adventures.

Crumbles will be spending his first weekend with Connell from Waddler room, his ingredients are all prepped, his equipment washed and ready to go and he's super excited to be off on his travels

We look forward to seeing how Crumbles assistant chef Connell gets on this weekend!

This week staff from across Kids Zone Nursery Group refreshed and up skilled their knowledge and practice in paediatric first aid.

This ensures our staff have the most up to date information on this important issue and are prepared should they need to put this into practice.

Thank you to all staff who attended the training and thank you to Manchester First Aid who delivered the course so well to our staff team, they did an amazing job.

Shortbread biscuits🍪
Yesterday we had lots of fun making delicious shortbread biscuits! The children helped to weigh and measure the ingredients before pouring them into the bowl and giving everything a big stir. With some adult support, they kneaded the mixture and used rolling pins to carefully roll out the dough.

The toddlers then enjoyed cutting out biscuit circles and waited patiently while they baked in the oven. Once they were ready, everyone enjoyed tasting their yummy creations at snack time!

Well done Toddlers! You all did amazing helping🥰

⭐ EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH ⭐
Ellie has been recognised for the fantastic work she has done with her key children's assessments. She has worked incredibly hard this term to support her key children with EAL, implementing additional targets and strategies to help them develop their language and communication skills.

Thanks to Ellie’s dedication and support, the children have made fantastic progress. She is always organised with her paperwork and works exceptionally well as part of the Toddler Room team.

🚀 TODDLERS TRIP TO TESCO 🚀
This morning the Toddler room went on a walk to Tesco to buy some baking ingredients.

On the way they spoke about road safety, using the crossing and then waiting for the green man

In Tesco as they walked around they talked about some of the foods they could see that we have at nursery such as the different fruits and vegetables and we also looked at some of our favourite foods such as the cakes and treats!

We scanned our shopping ourselves and talked about the numbers we could see and then paid for our shopping making sure we got our receipt too

We then picked some cake mixes to bring back to nursery to make together this afternoon at nursery.

We also brought Kim some of her favourite flowers back too! 💛

Because we all did such fantastic listening and helping we also all stopped and enjoyed a lovely ice lolly in the sunshine before heading back to nursery.

Well done Toddlers! 🚀
