Today we want to recognise our Training Safety Advisor, who has dedicated an incredible 40 years to the Army and continues to share his knowledge and experience with our cadets and adult volunteers.

His support behind the scenes helps us deliver safe, effective and enjoyable training across the County, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does.

His role might not always be the most visible, but the impact of what he does is felt across everything we deliver.

🩹 County First Aid Competition 🩹

This weekend, our cadets put their first aid skills to the test in the County First Aid Competition — demonstrating teamwork, knowledge and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

A huge congratulations to our winners:

🏆 Junior Team: D Company
🥈 Junior Team Runner-Up: E Company

The winning teams will now go on to represent the County at the Regional First Aid Competition. 👏

🥾 Cleveland Way COMPLETE! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Padre Jackson, who has completed his charity walk along the Cleveland Way! 👏

It certainly wasn’t plain sailing, the weather forced him to stop on several occasions, but he persevered and made it to the finish line. 🌧️🥾

And what a result — just over £1,400 raised for ACCT UK and Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice! ❤️

A massive well done to Padre Jackson for completing the challenge, and a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported him along the way.

Both have successfully completed the Area Commanders Course at Frimley Park, marking another fantastic achievement in their development as adult volunteers.

Update

The extreme heat has unfortunately returned, meaning Padre Jackson’s Cleveland Way walk has once again been paused by the Commandant.

But there’s plenty to celebrate — Padre has already made it as far as Saltburn-by-the-Sea, covering almost half of the 109-mile Cleveland Way! 👣

Padre Jackson will recommence from his previous stopping point once conditions are safe to do so.

After having to pause his challenge due to the extreme heat, Padre Jackson is back on route and picking up exactly where he left off with some absolutely stunning views. 💪
