Day one of the Gardeners’ Fair is a wrap, and what a very lovely day it has been.

If you couldn’t join us today, there’s still all the fun of the Fair to enjoy tomorrow: wonderful plants, inspiring stalls, garden treasures, charismatic alpacas, Karl taking on a second trunk with his chainsaw carving, and of course the gardens looking glorious in early summer.

Here are a few favourite snapshots from Gardeners’ Fairs gone by to celebrate one of our favourite weekends of the year.

Open 10am–5pm. Members visit free and don’t need to book.

🐝 Busy bees and blooming borders can mean only one thing…the Gardeners’ Fair is upon us!

This weekend, 6th & 7th June, we’re beyond delighted to welcome Yorkshire’s loveliest nurseries, growers, makers and artisan stallholders to our home, Burton Agnes Hall, just as the gardens are reaching their glorious early summer peak.

As we’ve been busy preparing for the Fair, I couldn’t help noticing the garden’s hardest workers in action today: the bees! So here’s a little montage of our pollinating friends enjoying the abundance of flowers currently filling the Walled Garden.

🚗✨ Join us tomorrow (Sunday 10th May) at Burton Agnes Hall for our annual Vintage Rally! ✨🚙

Join us tomorrow, Saturday 10th May, from 11am–4pm for a wonderful celebration of motoring heritage. Hosted by the East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club, the grounds will be filled with an extraordinary collection of vintage and classic vehicles: from elegant historic cars and motorcycles to light commercial vehicles and vintage machinery.

Whether you’re exhibiting a vehicle or simply coming along to admire the craftsmanship and character of the remarkable machines that are on show, it promises to be a brilliant day out for all ages. Here are some of my favourite photos from recent years’ rallies.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Burton Agnes Hall, the rally also supports a very worthwhile cause, with £3 from every entry donated to Marie Curie.
