πŸ“£πŸ“£A huge THANK YOU to everyone that supported our application for Driffield to be Town of Culture 2028!πŸ“£πŸ“£

We made the submission on Thursday 26 March and now await the outcome which the documents say will be spring – so hopefully not too long to wait!

One of the main elements of the application was with regards to No.43 Market Place. Further to a Town Council meeting on 7 April, it was agreed to discuss initial plans and proposals to turn the building into an Arts, Culture & Heritage centre.

We would like to invite interested parties with Arts, Heritage or general business experience to a meeting at Cass Hall on Monday 11 May at 6pm to create a working group to develop a business plan for No.43 and then ultimately an entity (eg CIC or CIO) to be responsible for the its running and ongoing development. This will be in partnership with Driffield Town Council. An outline business case has already been produced and approved by the Council.

Call to Action:

πŸ‘‰Venue – Cass Hall
πŸ‘‰When – 11 May
πŸ‘‰Time – 6pm

This is a particularly exciting opportunity to assist in something that will have positive implications for Driffield creating a lasting legacy and a hub for culture in our town (irrespective of the national Town of Culture 2028 competition).

If you plan to attend, please comment below so we have an idea of numbers.

Thank you for your support!
