A fitting farewell today for Normandy Veteran Frank Worrall, 3rd Reconnaissance Regiment, who landed on SWORD Beach on D-Day, and served through to the end of the Second World War and beyond.

A moving eulogy by his wonderful family, a Guard of Honour and attendance by many people provided a funeral fit for the great gentleman he was.

R.I.P. Frank, while your company will be missed by many, the memory of you will live on...

Maj (Retd) Fred Inman MBE

HQ REA understands that Maj (Retd) Fred Inman, a Corps legend, passed away on 01 February 2018. Fred will be fondly remembered by the many planties with whom he worked, socialised and whom he trained. There are many amusing anecdotes about Fred who made light of the severe injury he sustained in a diving accident in Germany. He will be long remembered by his army colleagues as a dedicated and professional soldier and officer. Thanks for the memories Fred. RIP.

Darren was an ex Tankie who when he left the army fell on hard times, he was a regular outside Waverley station in Edinburgh begging for change and he died on the 17th December 2017, forgotten by the country he served.

Falklands war hero who saved the lives of hundreds of British and Argentine forces has died aged 71
The words legend and heroes are often overused today. But in the case of Surgeon Captain Rick Jolly, who died this weekend, it is simply the only way to describe him.

The Royal Navy surgeon was the senior medical officer of 3 Commando Brigade, based in Plymouth, and saved the lives of British and Argentine forces during the Falklands conflict. He has sadly passed away at his home.

Surgeon Captain Rick Jolly, 71, who lived in Crafthole, near Torpoint, was uniquely honoured by both the British and the Argentines for his command of the field hospital at Ajax Bay, where around 1,000 wounded were treated. RIP Boss

It is being reported that Korean War veteran Joe Hubble has passed away, Tuesday January 9th, 2018.

Joe served with the 1st Bn Black Watch in Great Britain, Germany, Korea, Kenya, Cyprus, Oman and Northern Ireland, from 1950 to 1977. He was a civilian Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London from 1979 to 1999. RIP the Great man

War veteran evacuated from Dunkirk dies aged 102
Sergeant Peter Carrie, who was born in Dundee in 1915, served in the Army and then the RAF as a flight engineer on Lancaster Bombers.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier, the Chief of the Air Staff, tweeted on Friday to say he was “sad” to learn that Chelsea Pensioner Sgt Carrie had died at the age of 102.
Posting an image of himself with the veteran, he wrote he was “proud” to re-present him with his flight engineer brevet in 2014 – 70 years after he was first awarded it.
At the time, Air Chf Mshl Hillier described Sgt Carrie as “extraordinary”.

It is with great sadness that the Airborne Regiment Association of Canada (ARAC) learned of the passing of MGen Robert (Bob) Geaudreault, CMM, CD Former Commander of UNPROFOR Sector in Yugoslavia, CO of 1CDO Cyprus during the Turkish invasion in 1974, Commander of the Airborne Regiment in 1985 - 87, National Patron of ARAC and Colonel Commandant of the Army Cadet. Louise, his wife, phoned and said that he passed away at 05.45 hrs this morning, peacefully, and with her and his two daughters by his side. On behalf of the Airborne Regiment Association of Canada, we would like to express our deepest condolences to his wife Louise,
