PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the roads and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, proceeding or waiting in those lengths of Gardens Lane, Butterbusk, Archers Way at Conisbrough/ Northumberland Lane Bramley Court Service Road and Bolton Street at Denaby Main in the City of Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst works for the preparation and provision of specialist carriageway Micro surfacing and subsequent road markings including pre-patching.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is as described in the Schedule to this notice.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed by this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being issued and the subsequent removal of a vehicle.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 1st day of February 2027 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said roads have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within the stated time the Order may be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.

Location
1) Gardens Lane, Conisbrough from its junction with Old Road to its junction with Leslie Avenue 2) Butterbusk, Conisbrough from its junction with Archers Way to its junction with Drake Head Lane
3) Archers Way, Conisbrough from its junction with A630 Sheffield Road to its junction with Butterbusk
4) Northumberland Lane Bramley Court Service Road, Denaby Main from its junction with Bolton Street for 45m in a westerly direction
5) Bolton Street, Denaby Main - Cul de sac to rear of 29-39 Braithwell Walk
Dates and Times
On or after 07:00hrs 7th September 2026 until 19:00hrs 1st February 2027.
The roads will be closed on up to 5 separate occasions, with each occasion lasting no longer than 3 consecutive days. Works may occur on a weekend. This process is weather dependant and as such exact dates for each location cannot be given.
