Thank you to everyone who came to the village fête - what a lovely day!

If you wandered up to the village cricket club, you will have seen this beautiful view of the landscape from the cricket pitch - this will all be turned into panels and fencing if the proposed development for a 230-acre solar farm, battery energy storage and massive electrical substation goes ahead. 😢

Only 2 days to go until the village fête and we're keeping our fingers crossed for some lovely sunshine!☀️

Not only will there be delicious food and some fantastic music acts, but there will be a wide variety of over 20 different stalls, including the following:

Wax melts & home fragrance
Cards, prints & gifts
Interesting sculptures by a local artist
Fresh flowers
Homemade cakes & bakes
Equine & lifestyle products
Branded cosmetics & hand soaps

Due to the temporary school closure, children’s rides have moved to the village cricket pitch this year.

We'd advise those bringing children to park in the car park next to the cricket pitch for easier access. 😊

Less than 1 week until the Village Fête on Sunday 5th July!

We're very happy to confirm that Wath Morris and Wath Morris Minors will be performing some wonderful traditional Morris dancing and folk music for us all at the Fête! Perfect for a summer's day!

Bringing some sunshine and feel-good rhythms to the day will be the amazing Banda Na Rua - a Brazilian and modern street percussion band.
