We're so excited to celebrate World Book Day UK on Thursday, we have so many fun things planned!

Doncaster Knights are helping us to deliver some book hampers to local schools, and are going to read one of the books for us, which we'll record and share here on Facebook for you and your children to watch back. πŸ₯°

Staff on the children's ward at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will also be sharing some fascinating facts with us from Adam Kay's children's book, Kay's Anatomy, and challenging you to work out if they are true... or poo! πŸ™ˆ

Our Hub Manager and local author and illustrator, Phil Sheppard, is recording a draw-a-long of Shark in the Park, and visiting a handful of local schools to distribute lots of books. 🎨

And if that wasn't enough... we're hosting a city-wide Look for a Book challenge, helping children get their hands on a selection of the amazing World Book Day books! Keep an eye on our page on Thursday 2 March for clues as to where they might be hidden. πŸ‘€

Very excited that the new Little library is now open at Edenthorpe Community Garden based on the field behind Tesco. It was built by myself Heather and my dad and illustrated by local children's author and illustrator Phil Sheppard. Books have been put inside donated by the National Literacy Trust. Next time you walk by the garden and the gates are open pop in and take a look or drop off any books you would like to swap!
