FireBug manufacturers various versions of the MistMax to suit customer applications or projects. Standard versions of the MistMax include the following:

• MistMax – standard MistMax.

• MistMax Pro – adds the customized eductor mixer for added foam extinguishing capability which is required by certain industries such as aviation and oil and gas.

• MistMax Military – ruggedized version.

• MistMax Alpha – lightweight portable version with rubber wheels, hand grips and lifting hooks so that it can operated independent of a vehicle, maneuvered around a facility and even lifted into a site by helicopter if required.

• MistMax Slide – this version is built into the rear or side of rapid response vehicle and typically sits on a slide out tray for accessibility.

• MistMax Flatbed – this version integrates at 250 liters/66-gal water tank and storage cabinets for rescue equipment on each side of the unit.

Problem: With the global population increasing by approximately 83 million annually, there is increased urbanization, traffic, environmental concerns, water shortages and more public sector budget constraints. More small fires are occurring in urban areas with statistics showing that up to 80% of firefighting call outs are for fires which are less than 1 square meter in size. These fires can still present significant risk where initial response times are slow or access to the seat of the fire is a challenge.

MistMax Solution: Emergency Service Responders are realizing that they cannot face today’s challenges with yesterday’s conventional technology. The industry is moving towards smaller vehicles which can only be equipped with smaller water tanks due to their physical carrying capacity. With conventional technology, smaller vehicles have insignificant firefighting capability. This is where FireBug’s MistMax comes in. The MistMax’s unique water mist is capable of delivering 10 minutes of effective firefighting capability from only 44 gallons of water. Various tests on the extinguishing of car fires showed that the MistMax used between 1.6 and 4.3 gallons of water to extinguish the fires
